It's been slightly more than 2 weeks since I started working at the new company. I really don't enjoy working there at all, super overloaded with so many irrelevant stuffs (fixing faulty phones?). As long as it's eletronic products, the first person they'll find is me. Seriously, I don't mind helping as long as i've time or completed my tasks but to be interrupted with irrelevant stuffs while in the middle of my work, it's really annoying. With some of the oldest servers around, and end-users who are almost like the dumbest creature that ever existed on earth, it is no wonder I'm probably the busiest person in the office but I shall not go on complaining. Btw, I'm the only IT person in the office. If not for the salary that they're paying, I would haf resigned on my first week. But I'm never satisfied with anything and everything as far as my career is concerned, and I'm already on the lookout for greener pastures. It's not easy to find another job that can match my current salary for someone with less than 2 years of working experience. I'm blogging in the midst of my professional certification course... no time for other worldly and personal pleasures, especially tennis for the next few weeks... or maybe months. A small sacrifice for a better tomorrow i guess. But I will make it a point to go bowling every friday, no matter how busy. There's no better way to motivate myself than to see her in person after a sucky, tiring and hectic week. I don't mind being the bowling ball she uses sia. The only good thing... Bangkok this fri. Finally! But it also means no bowling. === 2 christians visited my home on saturday afternoon. It was a mistake to have entertained them in the first place few weeks back. According to my family members, they've made frequent visits to look for me when I wasn't around. Last sat, she preached to me for a while and asked me what I hope for the future. And I told her, less meat more vegetarians. Then she turned to a page in her bible and read to me "... someday men will live on earth forever and lions will eat grass.." She told me that my wish is also what was written in the bible. How atrocious? I asked her how can that be possible in biological terms. She said god wanted to punish adam and eve and their descendants for the sin they committed, that's why we'll die someday. God has the power. I think she's has been completely brainwashed by her religion, some believe so powerful that it scares ppl. The kind that can make ppl to become suicide bombers. === On a different note, we were playing billiard at this snookerium last sat. This auntie was making frequent rounds to ask every occupied tables "You wan to order drinks?" It became irritating after a while. Then my friend wanted to play with her and assumed that at that ulu place, confirm don't have fruit juice In hokkien: Him: 'Got fresh fruit juice anot?' Her: 'Got, wat you want?' Him: stunned, this kinda place also haf fresh fruit juice ... (*_*)"" Him: Being a quick thinker 'Ok, hor wa liu lian zap' give me durian juice! Her: visbily irritated and walked off... Peaceful game afterwards.

My first day at my new work today. It was a tiring but contented day. The admin staff introduced at least 40 new colleagues to me, and I can hardly remember any of their names except for the auntie who's handing over some IT stuffs to me and the temp staff who helped me to orientate around the office. A pity she's leaving for NTU at the end of the month ... Bowling never felt so fun and I tink I am talented or was it becox of her presence? hehex Foreswear its sight, for I never saw true beauty 'til that night. I like the music in the background!!!

It seems that I had a bad day today. Firstly, the 838 pages worth of IT notes I studied for the past 3-4 days had gone to waste. I realised I revised on the wrong topic only when I was siging my attendance on the form and it showed the title of another topic. That's it! I failed badly. I'm left with 2 more exams to go before I am certified as a Microsoft Professional and I'll be starting work on monday. God knows when I can take the remaining 2 exams as they can only be taking during office hours which will clash with my working hours!! By the time I can take the exams, I would haf forgotten 3/4 of what I studied. To top that off , I took a wrong bus after the exam from tanjong pagar. I mean the correct bus number but the wrong direction. Was suppose to meet my frens at parkway but the bus 608 i boarded went the other way which i assumed would be the correct direction. Then, I alighted at an ulu station along havlock road to hail a cab instead but i expanded the cash in my wallet on some course fees i signed up earlier. And the killer blow, there was no ATM in sight! I waited for the next bus to bring me to somewhere further where I finally found an ATM. A simple 40mins trip took me 2 hours.

Bangkok! I am going to Bangkok at the end the month and it's gonna be the second time i'm travelling with a couple this yr... I should have lesser things to buy this time round i tink... hmm....

I'll be free for the whole of this week as my new work only start next monday. I haven been utilising my free time well. It took me almost the whole day to read just 10 pages of an IT text, the whole book is 838 pages thick and I have complete it by wednesday!! I guess i shall stay home tomoro and devote all my time to read. Even after I left the company, the guy whom doesn't get along well with me still wanna find trouble with me by rejecting some of my claims. So irritating~!! But since he wanted a war, i'll bring it to him and here I am, victorious from the engagement. After explaining my reasons and inevitably exposing some of his dirty tricks, I got a positive reply from my manager and he has time and time again requested for me to stay. "Thanks Irvine! You showed a lot of matureness in your mail. I'm glad and reiterate my offer on coming back when you're ready. Best of luck in your new endeavors. Alex" It is alot easier to take a step back and not pursue any further and it isn't my choice to take him on over some measly claims but I had to do what needs to be done. Letting him have his way will only make him more cocky and confident in bullying others in future. Just his luck to pick a fight with the wrong person.
