I'll be starting work at my new company tmr. Last fri was my last day at the old company and I left with a bit of a mixed emotion, not of the $ but the great pals I befriended there. 3 seperate farewell dinners were organised for me by the various departments and everyone had to go vegetarian to accomodate me.
The first was at a vegetarian restuarant in upper serangoon with most of them managers and surprisingly, the cleaner auntie was also there. Everyone who was present has worked there longer than me and ironically, instead of me sending them off, they were the one doin that. After dinner, we went for a durian feast at a popular durian store called '717'. The place is near NYJC!
The second was at a mushroom restuarant near chomp chomp, a treat by one of my favourite manager and the temp staff I've mentioned in one of the previous entry. Coincidentally, the 3 of us at the dinner have all left the company. The first step into this restuarant, you'll be greeted by the strong mushroom smell. I think 90% of the food in their menu are mushrooms! We were struggling from an overdosage of mushroom that night but the durian supper neutralised the mushroom effect. This place again is near NYJC.
The last one will be on this coming friday with my lunch kakis.
I must admit that I'm very fortunate to have colleagues like these and I really appreciate the things that they've done for me.
Though it was only a short stint, they made it a memorable one for me.
